Alarming Policies in MI Lame Duck …

Dear Michigan Citizens,


Lame Duck is the portion of a Legislative Cycle between the election and the end of the legislative session. (See the alarming alert at the bottom!)


We are now in Lame Duck in Michigan. AND YOU NEED TO BE ALERT!


WATCH FOR legislation on

  • Homeschool reform

  • Assisted Suicide

  • Election reform

  • Mandatory sex education

  • and more!!!!!!!



The Democrats lost the State House, but until the “new legislative session starts” the Democrats are still in charge in Lansing. And they want to accomplish all their priorities while they still have a trifecta (Democrat in Governor seat, Senate majority and House majority).


YOU NEED TO BE ALERT NOW

THROUGH DECEMBER 19, 2024 FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING IN LANSING, MI

HOUSE AND SENATE CHAMBERS.


STEP 1

Get on the email lists for the State Senate and the State House AGENDAS so you can follow the policy development in Lansing:


1) Contact the Office of Senator Singh at SenSSingh@senate.michigan.gov and request to be on the Senate agenda email list.

2) Contact the Office of Representative Abraham Aiyash at abrahamaiyash@house.mi.gov and request to be on the House agenda email list.

The last day of the Legislative Session in Lansing is December 19.


Stay alert, prayerful and be prepared to contact YOUR State House or State Senate members on key issues. Share this with others.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the new House of Representatives will convene for its first formal session in Lansing.


Here is the list of the new leaders:

  • Associate Speaker Pro Tempore Jay DeBoyer

  • Majority Floor Leader Bryan Posthumus

  • Assistant Majority Floor Leader Brian BeGole

  • Caucus Chair Ken Borton

  • Caucus Vice Chair Nancy Jenkins-Arno

 

Next Elections in 2025 from the Secretary of State


  • Absentee voter ballots available for voters March 27

  • Last day to register by mail or online April 21

  • New voter registrations are required in person for May Election April 22 - May 6

  • Early Voting period April 26 - May 4

  • A general election will be held on May 6
