Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday posted a video of himself entering Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters with a bathroom sink amid reports he’s looking to complete the $44 billion acquisition of the social media firm by the end of this week. “Entering Twitter HQ — let that sink in!” he wrote. Musk also changed his Twitter bio to “Chief Twit” on Wednesday."


Is that Musk's message, one reader wondered, or is Musk signaling he's throwing out everything but the bathroom sink?


“Wall Street is motivated to curry favor with Musk,” said Jason Benowitz, senior portfolio manager at The Roosevelt Investment Group LLC. He added: “Elon Musk leads significant businesses including Tesla, SpaceX, and soon, Twitter … that may require substantial capital raises in the future. If SpaceX were to one day have an initial public offering it would be a flagship deal for the investment banking industry.”
